Earlier this year IU Health’s histology team moved into an expanded space with additional equipment to help patients who are waiting anxiously for cancer results. When a doctor removes a piece of tissue from a patient, also known as a biopsy, that tissue makes its way to the histology lab where experts prepare that sample for analysis and diagnosis.
